The Story
Hi, I'm Áine, the Founder of JournalingFix.
After years working inside high-pressure startup environments, I kept seeing the same pattern: smart, driven people having their days hijacked by mental overload, reactive loops, and the same internal friction points over and over.
JournalingFix combines brain science and simple, quick writing prompts to fix those problems.
It’s a practical way to work with your brain differently, so you can get clarity and follow-through without feeling like you’re forcing willpower and motivation.
The Protocol Packs
JournalingFix Protocol Packs are online structured collections of brain science, practical frameworks, and guided writing protocols.
They give you the tools to understand and change how you operate and run your day, so you can get to the goals, work, and relationships that matter to you.
Speaking, Training, Events
Whether you’re planning a conference, supporting a team, or hosting a community event, JournalingFix workshops and keynotes give people practical, science-based tools they can use to improve focus, navigate uncertainty, and move through everyday mental friction with greater clarity and confidence.
What makes JournalingFix different?
JournalingFix is not traditional journaling.
It’s a set of science-backed writing protocols (3-10 minutes at most) designed for moments when your mind is overloaded, scattered, avoidant, or stuck.
Each protocol is built for a specific state.
Not “write about your feelings for 20 minutes,” but targeted prompts that help you clear noise, reset attention, and move forward.
It works with your brain, not against it.
The goal isn’t forcing motivation. It’s understanding what your system is doing in the moment so you can respond more effectively.
No Dear Diary vibes.
Think of it as a toolkit of evidence-informed practices you can deploy on demand. It’s about changing the internal conditions that determine how thinking, motivation, and action unfold.
Feedback
“As a developer, my brain is juggling 15 threads at once by noon. AI tools make me faster, but they also add a whole new layer - more decisions, more context-switching, more information flying at me constantly. The micro-journaling techniques in Áine’s seminar gave me a way to dump the noise, quiet the mental chatter, and reconnect with my own voice and creativity. That clarity is everything. ”
“I’ve used JournalingFix on two projects. They’ve helped me put aside demanding tasks when I need to focus on other things, and they’ve helped me get started on tasks I resist doing. The journal entries are fast. I usually spend about five minutes. They don’t feel like extra work. They’re each structured for one goal, so they’re easy to apply. ”
“What stood out most was how it helped clear the feeling of overwhelm and mental fatigue. It gently broke things down into manageable pieces, making it easier to process what’s in front of you and then shift into your next task with clarity and ease. ”
“I came to Áine’s workshop stuck on procrastination and avoidance of hard tasks, and left with simple techniques that work. I use it every day now and am excited to see what else JournalingFix has in store.”
