Step 2, Notice what was good

Write 2 to 4 short lines:

“Things I’m thankful for from today are…”

Exs:

  • support from someone

  • a moment that went better than expected

  • effort you were able to give

  • something that worked

  • ease, connection, or relief

  • something you have access to that helped you get through the day

When you’re tired, stressed, or carrying something unresolved, attention naturally narrows around what went wrong or what still needs action.

Brief gratitude practice can widen that frame and make sure your brain doesn’t end the day with an incomplete record. You’re giving yourself evidence that there were also good things like support, effort, connection, and success.
