The Flagship: Close the Day
Write:
“Here’s what’s still pulling at my attention from the day…”
Then write:
“I’m parking it here for tomorrow. The first action I’ll start with is…”
This gives any lingering unfinished material a place to be contained and saved.
This is different from avoiding it because you’re deciding that the open material has been captured and given a first action. That reduces the need for working memory to keep bringing it back up over and over again.
Closing line
Give yourself a closing line like:
“Today’s completed. I’ve taken care of everything. My only job now is rest.”
You can create your own version, here, too. This is your handoff.
You’re marking today as reviewed and giving everything important a place while you rest.
